These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. They do not need a physical or digital signature. By using the site or placing an order, you accept them, together with our Privacy Notice, Shipping & Delivery policy and Cancellation, Returns & Refunds policy.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Indian law to buy from us. We sell and deliver only within India.

You need an account to place an order. Give us true and current details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for orders placed through it. We may suspend or close an account that gives false details or is used to break these terms.

What we sell

We sell physical gold and silver coins, delivered to you. Each product page states the metal, the purity and the weight. Photos are for illustration; the coin you receive may differ slightly in finish or packaging from the picture.

A coin from us is a purchase of goods. It is not an investment product, a deposit, a savings scheme or a digital-gold account. We do not give investment advice and we promise no return. Metal prices go down as well as up.

We do not currently buy coins back. If that changes, it will be offered under its own published terms.

We make no hallmarking, assay or certification claim about our coins unless a product page states one specifically. Nothing else on the site should be read as making one.

How prices work

Our prices follow the live market. A coin's price is built from the live buy rate our bullion rate provider, Bullionwale, publishes for its metal (a rate that already includes Bullionwale's own margin), adjusted for the coin's purity and weight, plus our premium (which covers making, packing and our margin). The price shown before tax is that total.

GST is charged at the rate that applies to the item and the delivery address. It is shown separately before you pay and on your tax invoice. Shipping is free, and transit insurance is included at no extra charge.

Because the market moves, a price in your bag is an estimate until you pay. When you press Pay, we lock the price for 5 minutes. If your payment completes within that time, you pay the locked price. If the lock runs out first, the quote is cancelled and we show you a fresh price at the current rate. You decide whether to accept it. We never charge you a different amount without asking.

If a bank confirms a payment shortly after the lock has run out, we still honour the locked price when the payment was started in time and confirmed within 2 minutes of expiry. Otherwise we refund the payment in full.

When the published rate is not live, trading and fresh, prices are shown for information only, labelled Stored, and we will not take an order at them.

Orders and our right to cancel

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept your order and your payment is confirmed. The order page in your account shows its status.

You may buy up to 10 of any one item, and up to ₹10,00,000 in total, in a single order. We may also limit quantities per account, card or address.

We may decline or cancel an order, even after payment, if:

  • a price or product detail was plainly wrong because of a technical or human error;
  • the item is out of stock;
  • we cannot deliver to your address;
  • the PAN details we need are missing or do not pass our checks;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse; or
  • the law requires us to.

If we cancel, we refund the full amount you paid to the original payment method within 7–15 business days. We do not charge you anything for a cancellation we make.

PAN and identity checks

Indian tax law requires a buyer's PAN for purchases of goods above a set value. If your order total is more than ₹2,00,000, we will ask for your PAN and the name on it before you can pay. The threshold applies to each order.

We check that the PAN you enter is in the correct format. We do not currently verify it with the Income Tax Department, so you are responsible for giving your own, correct PAN. The name on the PAN should match the billing name. We may cancel an order if the PAN details are missing or appear false, and we may ask for further identity documents where the law requires it.

Payment

Payments are processed by Razorpay, our payment provider. You can pay by UPI, debit or credit card or net banking. We do not offer cash on delivery, EMI or pay-later options. All prices and payments are in Indian rupees.

Your card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay, not to us. We receive only a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded. If money leaves your account but the order is not confirmed, the amount is returned to you.

We will never ask for your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN or password, by phone or otherwise. Do not share them with anyone.

Delivery, risk and ownership

We ship free, insured and in tamper-evident packaging, to addresses in India we can serve. The recipient must confirm delivery with an OTP or show photo ID. Full details are in our Shipping & Delivery policy.

We carry the risk of loss or damage until the parcel is delivered to you or the person you named. Ownership of the coins passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost in transit, we refund you in full; see below.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

In short (the full rules are in our Cancellation, Returns & Refunds policy):

  • You can cancel free of charge until the order is dispatched. We refund the amount you paid, whatever the metal price has done since.
  • We accept returns only for an item that arrives damaged, tampered with or different from what you ordered. Tell us within 7 working days of delivery and send an unboxing video.
  • Because the price of metal changes daily, we do not accept returns for a change of mind.
  • Refunds go to your original payment method within 7–15 business days of approval.
  • If a parcel is lost in transit, we trace it for up to 15 days and then refund you in full if it is not found.

Our content

The Coins & Bars name and logo, and the text, images, designs and software on this site, belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not copy, republish or sell them without our written permission.

Fair use and fraud

You agree not to:

  • use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
  • scrape it, run bots against it, probe or test its security, or try to get around its limits;
  • use someone else's account, card or identity; or
  • interfere with the site or with other customers.

If we reasonably suspect fraud, we may hold or cancel an order, suspend an account, ask for more information, and report the matter to the police or other authorities. If an order is cancelled for fraud, we refund the amount we received to its source, minus any cost the fraud caused us where the law allows.

Limits on our liability

We provide the site with care, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect loss such as lost profit or a missed market move.

For any order, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using the site, and a third party makes a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events we cannot reasonably control. Examples are natural disasters, epidemics, war, riots, strikes, government orders, a market or exchange shutdown, or the failure of a bank, payment network, carrier or internet service. If such an event stops us fulfilling an order, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Chennai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Our Grievance Officer acknowledges complaints within 48 hours and aims to resolve them within one month. The officer's details and the escalation routes are on our Grievance Redressal page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version in force when you placed an order applies to that order.

Contact

Our registered office is shown above and on the Contact page, which will also carry our customer-care channels.
